Back on air?
...most likely!
A bit needs to be finalized, but this young man could be back with a morning show. 8-9 Fridays. Which means I get to:
Everyone wins! With the sunrise comes a new blog template. Beige as a nice alternative to black.
I've also been keeping track of the 2 tracks that soundtrack my days ...these days. You can find it over on RateYourMusic.com: A-Sides & B-Sides (+ asides and besides).

- Be on the radio
- Keep my evenings free for studying

June 4 - Credo
Oh yes. #1 reason this week to travel to serialized-inked-paper-land.The muzak continues this week with Iggy Pop's French new LP Preliminaires (yes, in French) and like that album William Shatner put out a few years back it's a gimmicky lounge record that is much better than it has any right to be.
I Was a King is billed as "Teenage Fanclub merged with My Bloody Valentine" and our friends at AAM seem to nail it right on -- it's great noisy, catchy power pop. Played "It's All You" off of their new 7".
Speaking of MBV-inflected pop, dig NY-based China Girl I found out about from my perpetual lurking over at rateyourmusic.com (where you can now rate films!). The opening notes to "Hook and Trust" are tone-for-tone match of Bowie's "Diamond Dogs", great stuff. Points for being relentlessly obscure.
A little bit from The Tears' first record, which features Brett Anderson & Bernard Butler, the creative force from the first Suede LP. Also, new electro by The Field, Grizzly Bear, and SO MUCH MORE!!
